How we ship
Kayaks over 60 lbs ship freight to your driveway. Smaller orders (accessories, paddles, PFDs) ship UPS or FedEx Ground. Every kayak is uncrated and water-tested before it leaves our shop.
Real freight rates
Kayak orders ship LTL freight (less-than-truckload) with curbside-residential delivery and liftgate. Base rate is $449 in the Western US for one kayak, plus $179 per additional kayak on the same pallet. Accessory orders ship UPS/FedEx Ground from $14 (under $100), $29 ($100-$500), or $59 ($500+ heavy items). Pickup is free.
Shipping insurance (required)
Every shipped order carries a mandatory transit-insurance fee of 2.5% of merchandise value, with a $19 minimum and $179 cap. The fee covers loss, theft, or freight damage from the moment the truck leaves our dock until you sign for delivery. Claims paid within 7 business days, no deductible, no questions asked. Pickup orders skip the fee.
Delivery time
Freight: 5–9 business days. Ground: 2–4 business days. We email tracking the day your order ships.

Pickup at the shop
Skip shipping. Any order can be picked up at 7812 Auburn Blvd, Citrus Heights. We text you when it's ready.
